PARIBARTAN — meaning “Change” — is a non-government, non-profit voluntary development organization empowering disadvantaged women, people with disabilities, youth and indigenous communities across Sirajganj and Pabna districts of Bangladesh.
PARIBARTAN was founded in 1988 and began field operations in 1991. For over three decades, we have worked alongside the most vulnerable people in rural Bangladesh — disadvantaged women and girls, people with disabilities, plain land indigenous communities and other excluded groups — using an integrated, community-led approach to development. We believe that real, lasting progress comes only through positive change.
“PARIBARTAN Physiotherapy Centre — providing physiotherapy, assistive devices and community-based rehabilitation for persons with disabilities in Tarash, Sirajganj.”
“Vulnerable Women Benefit Programme — skill training, savings management and entrepreneurship development for disadvantaged rural women, supported by the Department of Women Affairs.”
“Out of School Children Education Programme — providing non-formal primary education (Class 1–5) for out-of-school children in Belkuchi Upazila, Sirajganj. Supported by the Bureau of Non-Formal Education.”
